StreetView coming to Atlanta soon?

With all of the great cities included in Google Maps StreetView, I continue to wonder why Atlanta keeps getting left out.  It’s by far the largest city in the US that doesn’t have StreetView coverage yet.

That’s why I was excited to this this post by Brian Ussery, where he describes a Google StreetView car that he saw driving around town yesterday.

I’m always hesitant to post news on April Fools day, but his post goes into great detail about the car and includes a few photos.  Plus, it’d be a pretty lame “joke”, wouldn’t it?

In any case, I’m excited that we’ll be seeing this imagery soon.  I wonder how long it takes for the images to go from the car to my browser?  A couple months?
